Golden Retrievers get along well with Cats. Especially since he is still a puppy. I would either get a Kitten or a Cat that has been used to dogs before. And slowly introduce them. They should be great companions!

How long to Cats live?

About 12-15 yrs. But if you feed it a good diet, veterinary care, spayed or neutered, health cats so it's blood lines were good etc, and it was an inside cat. It can live as long as 21 years.

How much does a Cat eat?

That depends on the breed and the size of the Cat.

But just ask your Vet. I would say whether you are feeding wet or dry.

Feed it in the morning and the evening. Half a cup in the morning half a cup in the evening. Probably. Or 1 can in the morning 1 can in the evening. Again, just ask your Vet.

P.S. You have a Golden Retriever Puppy. Not a Golden Retriever Son.

Do you understand that?I have a Golden Retriver son,i also want to buy his Girl Friend a CAT,Advice me Dog and Cat Lovers ?
ive had 3 cats with a golden retriever and they got on great the cat would often snuggle up to the dog and sleep and my dog never liked to go on walks unless the cat came (Which she did she followed behind and whinged if we walked to fast lol) so yeah of my expierience if introduced properly they get on great. cat live on average between 10 -15 years but some cats can live as long as 20 (from expierience) cats should be feed twice a day normally half a can in morning with biscuits then same again later on in the day.
if you introduce the cat into the home in a cage t the dog can be introduced to the new cat on a lease slowly over a period of a few weeks ,,once the dog gets used to the cat being in the home you can let the cat out of its cage ,,but keep the dog on a its lease for the first time and you have control over the dog ,,also make sure the cat as an escape route just in case ssome thing happens ,,,the cat will become the boss over time ,,if you take your time cat and dog will become good friends and more than likely sleep in the same basket ,,at night
The Golden's attitude toward other pets is the more the merrier. He enjoys the companionship of other dogs, and with proper introductions and training, can be trusted with cats, rabbits, and other animals.

I have had a dog and a cat together before, and they have been fine. But normally i get the cat first, but if you slowly introduce them, then i think they will be good companions.
