If you're too shy to directly single him out and ask him for his number, just act like you got a new phone or something and go around asking everybody for their number and programming it into your phone, and include him. If you have a camera phone, take some pictures of your classmates (silly ones maybe), and send him one that he happens to be in with a comment of some kind. That's a start.
just ask him becuz obviously if you ask him you like him and if he doesn't realize that he's an idiot

Just be yourself and go talk to him... Getting his number off someone else would make you look like a stalker so just take it easy and try and instigate a good conversation that involves a mutual interest
